Our History
Bridges Health Winona was started in 2017 as an academic program committed to addressing local community health gaps, while innovatively preparing future health professionals in interprofessional care. It did not take long for surrounding communities to hear of and see the benefit of Bridges' programming being within their own rural communities. As a result, and over the years, our services have expanded throughout the Southeastern Minnesota and West Central Wisconsin regions to respond to the growing health needs of our local and regional populations. In 2024, Bridges Health became a nonprofit 5013c organization to continue to respond to this growing need and provide premier community-based interprofessional learning experiences to regional students and their academic programs.
We have seen first-hand the value of this model to the community and our academic students. Our interprofessional team of students are provided with real-world experiences outside of traditional biomedical healthcare settings that we believe will make them more compassionate, skilled, and effective healthcare providers and leaders. Students experience learning that a classroom just cannot provide.
Our Mission
Deliver holistic health and wellness services to communities through transformative interprofessional learning experiences.
Our Vision
